Review on TED-Ed
TED-Ed believes passionately that ideas have the power to change attitudes, lives and ultimately the world . With this philosophy in mind and with the intention of supporting teachers and speaking the curiosity of learners around the world, TED-Ed was launched in 2012.
TED-Ed is TED's youth and education initiative . TED-Ed's mission is to speak and celebrate the ideas of teachers and students around the world. Everything we do supports learning from producing a growing library of original animated videos, to providing an international platform for teachers to create their own interactive lessons, to helping curious students . TED-Ed Original represents a creative collaboration between experts.
To create a TED-Ed lesson , we have to register with our e-mail and login first. TED-Ed offers us a set of tools that allow us to create interactive lesson.
1. To get started, we have to select a video first. We can search it by using keyword in YouTub URL. TED-Ed lessons can be created around either public or unlisted YouTub videos. We can take a video with which we are not familiar . We can select a video with subtitle .
2. After selecting the video to create a lesson we need to copy the link of the video into TED-Ed page. After selecting the video, click through into the TED-Ed lesson editor. To create a lesson we will find three steps. These are Think, Dig Deeper, Discuss. In the 'Think' part we need to create some multiple questions and short questions for the learners. In the 'Dig Deeper' part have to add some information related to the video that may help learners to know more about the lesson or topic of the video. In 'Discuss' part we can discuss with the viewer of the video. After publish our lesson we will receive a URL for the lesson page. Only the creator of the lesson have access to this link. We can share the lesson with the learners . As students submit work on our lesson page the creator can monitor their progress .
TED-Ed bring all the students together and make them interested to complete the task . Because teacher make a lesson by using a video. By TED-Ed learner can improve their listening, writing and reading skills.
